EMS is looking for experienced Rolling Mill Operators.
Position Summary:
Set up and operate a variety of ZR rolling mills and metal forming machines, working with close tolerances. Check and order material and work from route cards and schedules. Use a variety of precision measuring tools to perform in-process inspection and check incoming material to meet required standards
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the mill, including roll changes
- Operate edge trimmer and in-line welder as needed
- Change rolls and components in the mill housing as needed
- Work with very close tolerances from route cards
- Use shop math, use micrometer, gauges, and samples
- Complete setups, routine maintenance, and other equipment related operations.
- Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems
- Wear all required PPE at all times
- Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
- Other duties as required
Education and Experience:
- High School or Equivalency Diploma
- Basic Shop Math
- Ability to read and understand written instructions in English
- Ability to use hand held measurement instruments
- Experience operating continuous metal strip processing equipment preferred
