Abrader Operator - 1st shift

Process material through the abrader by following the process defined by the manufacture and instructed through training and work instructions.

Responsibilities:

Identify and correct areas of deficiency prior to the start up of the abrader, and while running.
Monitor belts for wear, and change as needed.
Verify material characteristics prior to running material.
Assure that thickness tolerance and surface quality of the material meets the specified requirements.
Maintain acceptable level of housekeeping order and cleanliness in area
Load and unload large coils of material.
Work independently while following production schedules to prepare coils for the bonding operation.
Maintain production records and make data entries into computer systems such as Oracle, Kronos, etc.
May require use of fork truck and overhead crane and hoist systems.
